It was assumed that I was not attending the shower of my future daughter-inlaw. I consider this to be tasteless. My future -daughte-rlaw stated that it was RUDE OF ME TO EXPECT A PHONE CALL IF I DIDN'T GET THE E"VITE. I certainly think it was rude of them to think I would not respond to an evite for such an important occasion. I understand that this is the "new way" of the internet, but a follow up phone call if an invatition is not responded to would have certainly be in good taste. You can not assume that everyone that you invite is computer savvy.
